Since I've been the food writer here at the Chattanooga Times Free Press, I've compiled a list of my top five chefs (which wasn't easy). Cornelius Lathan makes my top five list of chefs in Chattanooga because I know that, like how the Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant worked on his mid-range jump shot, low post footwork and lock left defense, Lathan possesses the same intensely dedicated "Mamba mentality," but instead the kitchen is his court.
