Yes, when it comes to New York-style pizza, I’m an unabashed purist. (Blame my Bronx-born father for making me this way.) I’m so much of a purist that I believe not even toppings like traditional pepperonis belong on a slice of New York-style pizza, let alone black olives, ham or mushrooms.
