The search for Westminster teacher/coach Gary Jones continues at #LakeOconee. drone_golf on the scene assisting with search/recovery efforts. The search started Sunday, continued through Tuesday, then was delayed Wednesday due to weather circumstances. DNR, local sheriff’s officials, fire departments and volunteers from all around Georgia with specialized skills and equipment resumed the search Thursday morning and will begin the search again Friday morning. Jones was boating with his fiancé— Spelman professor Joycelyn Wilson— Saturday when both of them disappeared. Their empty boat was found circling the lake Saturday evening, and Wilson’s body was found Sunday. Her body has been sent to GBI’s crime lab for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. Jones’ shoes were found in the lake within the last few days. Check back for updates.
