As the oldest of my siblings, I came here with pressure on my shoulders and a dream in my heart. TSU became more than a campus, it became my community, my challenge, and my change. There were moments that tested me—losing friends who were also working toward their degrees, and family who I wish could’ve seen me walk.But instead of breaking me, those moments made me stronger. They lit a fire in me to stay involved, to give back, and to be present for others the way I needed someone to be for me.
