Even with a $6 billion net worth, Mark Cuban lives like a guy clipping coupons. He does his own laundry, skips the butler, and buys toothpaste in bulk to save money.
In a 2023 interview with Bobbi Althoff, Cuban said he hasn’t changed much since his broke days. “When I was broke, I had a blast,” he said. “I loved my life.” He still avoids unnecessary spending, negotiates in cash, checks his budget yearly, and warns against credit card debt.
Cuban sees buying essentials on sale—like two years' worth of toothpaste—as smarter than most investments. "That's a real savings you put in your pocket," he said.
Despite his billionaire status, Cuban sticks to old friends, keeps things low-key, and says the flashy life just isn’t for him. “The whole idea of, like, get a yacht… it’s just not what I would do.”
