Our celebration of the Class of 2025 got underway with Valedictory Exercises kicking off three days of pomp and circumstance. “A ship in harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for,” Hollywood actor and 1994 UVA alumnus jasonwinstongeorge told the Class of 2025. “Virginia has been your home for the last four years or so. You feel safe here. But the University hasn’t been preparing you to be safe.” Taking risks is part of life, he said. #UVA25
