Congratulations to Featherpocket, the first recipient of the Music Everywhere CLT H.U.G. Grant 🤩 At cm_clt this month, cltiscreative recognized local musician Jason Cline (featherpocket), one of five local creatives, with a $250 H.U.G. (“Helpful Unfettered Gift”) micro-grant. Rock n’roll, country, funk, folk & beyond - Featherpocket is always pushing to take its sound into new territory. Drawing influence from the Velvet Underground, Gram Parsons , as well as modern artists like Susto, Featherpocket has something to offer any listener. Founded in Charlotte, NC in 2017, the band has released a full-length album, multiple singles and played shows to ecstatic audiences in clubs throughout the region. HUGs (Helpful Unfettered Gifts) are $250 strings-free microgrants awarded monthly to creative initiatives in Charlotte to help propel the project forward or remove a small obstacle to its overall success.
