Is Therapy Dog Thursday a thing? 🤔 Some of you may know that I originally got into therapy dog work with my girl Saoirse. Her favorite age group was older people, so every Friday at 11 am, we would pull up to one of the local assisted living homes, where we would go into the activity room and Saoirse would get her fill of love and pats. Her name would show up on their weekly calendar, lest they forget that their buddy was coming. We'd walk the halls afterwards to visit some of our friends who might not have been as mobile, or maybe just weren't feeling well that day. With Sully, his favorite age group is kids. He loves all people, to be fair, but kids hold a special place in his heart. That's the reason we do Dog Days at the Islands Library, why we went to Sensory Days at childrensmuseumofpooler when we could.
