🇦🇺⚽ The Bilbies are making history – and they need your help.
Australia’s Women’s Blind Football Team – known as the Bilbies – are heading to Japan for their first-ever international tournament, facing off against England, Japan, and Argentina.
This dedicated team of athletes and volunteers are proudly representing Australia in one of the most inclusive and fast-growing sports in the world.
But unlike many national teams, the Bilbies receive no support from Football Australia. They are completely self-funded through donations, sponsorships, and personal contributions.
Their participation in these international events is part of a global campaign to include women’s blind football in the 2028 Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.
And there’s more – they’ll be joined in Japan by former Matilda Casey Dumont, who is stepping in as their sighted goalkeeper.
