Hi all, For those who don’t know, I recently moved up to Boone, NC, and if you have watched the news or been on social media, you have probably seen a little about how hard Boone/Western North Carolina got hit with these storms. First off I am okay, I have truly seen the grace of God during the storm and the power of prayer. I prayed not a drop would touch my home or my car, and when I came back after evacuating, there was a line of leaves around my car where the water got up to (picture 2). The images are what my neighborhood looked like during and right after the storm. I have seen the love of community in repairing the road out of our neighborhood within a day with the entire neighborhood working together. I am so blessed to say I have power, and my water finally came back on yesterday. For those who have checked in, thank you. I have never felt as much love and care as I have this past week.
