Lucero has been with me through a lot: rowdy nights at The Social, Lizzy McCormick’s anniversary shows in the back alley, long drives to nowhere with the volume on high, campfires with friends who knew every word, and once on a stoop with an ex, his guitar, and solo cover of Kiss the Bottle at midnight.
