Have you ever had fried turkey?
If not, this is a sign as it only takes 3 minutes per pound comes out super juicy and has the crispiest skin
First, start with a bourbon brine with salt, seasoning (peppercorns, paprika, cumin, sage, parsley, rosemary, thyme), orange peels and bourbon for at least overnight and ideally up to 36 hours pending the size of your turkey (helps keep the turkey tender and not dry out)
Pat the turkey dry and let sit on a rack until completely dried out so that you don’t get any kick back when frying the turkey
Inject with melted butter along with garlic, paprika, onion powder, cumin, pepper
Fry for ~3 minutes per pound at 350 degrees or until the turkey breast is 165 F and thighs are at least 180 F
Let it rest for minimum of 30 minutes before carving and enjoy!
I’m so thankful for each and everyone of you, all the messages and all your recreations day in and day out! Wishing you the best thanksgiving!
