✨We love that healing energy✨
Tasnia Ahamed is a licensed social worker and currently works as a full time therapist at the New York Psychotherapy and Counseling Center (NYPCC). She received her master’s degree in social work at Stony Brook University’s School of Social Welfare and was named a 2021 Advocate of NY by the Mayor’s Office to End Domestic and Gender Based Violence. As a Bangladeshi-American and Muslim woman from Queens, Tasnia knows too well about the struggles of Muslim New Yorkers and the unfortunate trend of bottling away hardship to exhibit strength. Through various roles at NYPCC, Turning Point for Women and Families, The Khalil Center, The Asiyah Women’s Center, Womankind, and others, Tasnia’s career centers on raising awareness around mental health in minority communities through education, dialogue, and dismantling stigma.
Tasnia covers topics related to mental health, cultural taboos, self-empowerment, and more.
