Miu Miu presents “Grande Envie”, a short-film celebrating CatherineMartindesigns’s special collection for Miu Miu Upcycled and marking Martin’s directorial debut. In “Grande Envie”, #CatherineMartin summons the late 1920s and early 1930s in the South of France, where great clashes and contrasts in style were taking place. Set in an opulent chateau, a widowed Count (Willem Dafoe) meets three young strangers, who are full of desire of adventures. But then, the deceased Countess (Daisy Ridley), haunts her widowed husband through the lens of a camera, collapsing then and now, amongst youthful decadence and yearning.
