After a scoreless first period, Team Canada White came out determined to claim gold. Early in the second, forward Jean-Christoph Lemieux broke the deadlock with a goal, assisted by Logan Hawery and Adam Valentini, giving Team Canada White a 1-0 lead. Late in the period, Mathis Preston extended the advantage to 2-0 with a goal, assisted by Keaton Verhoeff. Team Canada Red pushed back in the third, scoring early to make it a tight game, but Team Canada White’s momentum couldn’t be stopped.
