Today we give you three of them: 🍭 In the 1950s, Swedish candy company Ahlgrens tried to make American-style marshmallows, but their result was… chewier, to say the least. They first deemed it a failure, until someone pointed out that the candy actually tasted good. The chewy candy was named 'bilar' – 'cars'! 🏎️ The man behind the candy, Gustav Belinky, is said to have loved Bugatti race cars. These 'failed' marshmallows would become a Swedish classic. 🏰 The Drottningholm Palace Theatre near Stockholm thrived under King Gustav III, a devoted opera lover.
