How do car drivers in snowy, icy countries like Sweden learn to face the tough wintry road conditions? ❄️🚗   In Sweden, people learning to drive have to do skid pan training – ’halkbana’ in Swedish – in artificial slippery conditions. It’s part of a risk awareness course that you are required to complete before you can pass your driving test and get your driving licence. 🚘   During the training, the learner driver is put in staged dangerous situations like skidding at different speeds to become aware of some of the real-life challenges on the road.
