Sweden has its own kind ghost – Lilla spöket Laban, 'Little Ghost Godfrey', from the books of author couple Inger and Lasse Sandberg. 👻 🏰 Laban lives in the old castle of 'Gomorronsol' with his mother, father and sister. Though born into a family of ghosts, Laban isn't your typical spooky spirit. Instead of scaring people, Laban himself fears the dark. He doesn't want to frighten people, so he makes friends with the inhabitants of the castle. 📖🌙 The story of Laban – created by the Sandbergs to help their son overcome his fear of ghosts – has transcended borders. The first of the 14 books about Laban was published in 1965, and this heartwarming tale has since been translated into 30 languages, making it a beloved story for children worldwide.
