When my parents were diagnosed with advanced cancers, we were told to prepare for the worst. My mom was given four years. She lived thirty more. My dad had a grade 4 brain tumor and was told he had 15 months. He lived over three and a half years beyond that. Their stories remind me that while the statistics can be scary (like the five-year survival rate of just 35.7% for malignant brain tumors), they don’t tell the whole story. There’s always room for hope. We've put together a guide to help others going through this. It includes: - How to find the right specialists - What tumor board reviews are and why they matter - Tips for choosing a care team you can trust - Ideas for holistic care that supports your whole self - Info on how to apply for up to $5,000 in financial support, no proof of hardship needed 🩵 You don’t have to do this alone. We’re here for you. 🔗 in bio to read the full guide. #BrainTumorAwareness #CancerSupport #JDJFoundation #HopeAndHealing #YouAreNotAlone #Cancer...
