Did you know Don Kidd was a Police Officer then a Detective? In honor of National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day we would like to recognize Kidd’s dedication to his community over the years. • Kidd was the oldest in his graduating FWPD Class 17 years ago. • In academy Kidd was tased and pepper sprayed, which then lead to Coach Schrock being tased on the 4th of July all for a good laugh! • Don Kidd was a detective in the Crimes Against Persons Division. • Kidd was the pitcher in the Annual Police/Fire Softball game for a total of 16 years. • Kidd (Donson) was a community hero when he captured a bank robber one hot summer day by bicycle.
