I wasn’t always a Florida boy… Chicago was the beginning. Raised by a single mom who held it down with more strength than most folks will ever understand. She gave everything, even when we had almost nothing. Growing up here meant learning how to be tough early… but also how to care deeply, laugh loud, and survive with style. I didn’t always have the tools — as a matter of fact I was always angry. But now? 
Now I’ve got peace, perspective, and practices that keep me grounded. Working out clears my mind.
Creating gives me purpose.
Healing helps me show up. Chicago was the fear that allowed joy to grow… and that’s the blessing. I’m still that Chicago kid at heart! Just with less anger, better habits, and a gym membership I actually use lmao Save this for the days you forget how far you’ve come.
