"This holiday season is bittersweet for us. We have had Sterling for 2.5 months. He is the absolute best dog, but one of our dogs does not like him. They have had a couple of scuffles and we decided we needed a new foster even though they are just fine with each other most days. We’ve been waiting, and last week I spoke to the most perfect woman for Sterling. Their family’s hope is this will be a trial and they end up adopting Sterling. We had everything arranged to pass Sterling along to them this Sunday. In this process, one of our dogs (the one who is buddies with Sterling) was diagnosed with cancer. We were able to get into a surgeon at Blue Pearl quickly and found out today they have a last minute surgery opening tomorrow. To allow for her to properly heal at home, we are going to send Sterling to his new (hopefully forever) home tomorrow instead of Sunday.
