These babies were left on the side of the road 😭 A few weeks ago, we received a note from an animal control we work with. They were driving and saw an Amazon box on the side of a country road. They saw something moving inside and after pulling over, discovered there were 10 puppies laying inside. Huddling together, crying. Hungry. Worried little babies of various ages. This is the reality of rescue. We could talk about how cruel it is to put a box of puppies on the side of a road. We could talk about how no one should abandon their pets. Or we could talk about how to fix it. 15 years ago, I started a dog rescue. it was a dream born of a 24 year old who just wanted to do a little good in this world, who didn't have many life experiences, and who sometimes judged the people who gave up their animals. And then I started meeting these people, from every walk of life. I quickly realized that most people are good. They love their animals fiercely, but sometimes they run out of options...
