Or that most of them need C-sections to give birth? Without human intervention, this breed would not exist. Her recessive-gene parents were bred to try and accomplish a longer coat. Pemberly is deaf because of this. She also has breathing problems and pants most of the time. Can you imagine a life where breathing was always hard? I remember a vet tech telling us how happy bulldogs were when they were intubated. Because they could finally breathe without effort.
