Ari Aster brought something more haunting than horror to Cannes: honesty. It’s not often that a director known for horror speaks this plainly about something scarier than any screenplay: disconnection. At the Cannes Film Festival, Aster wasn’t promoting cheap optimism. He was naming a truth that too many of us feel but rarely say out loud — things are fractured, and the only way out is through each other. Not through forced unity or feel-good slogans, but through the hard, necessary work of re-engaging. Hope doesn’t come from silence. It comes from confrontation. From wrestling with the mess, not retreating from it. #Politics #Cannes #AriAster #Eddington #America #Hope
