the narrow road is far from easy. many trials and hardships will arise. but like James tells us in chapter 1, “count it all joy, my brothers and sisters, when you face trials of various kinds.” how can we count it joy in trials and on the narrow road? we can count it joy because we know that God is at work— growing us and bringing His good work in us to completion. we can count it joy because He is holding all things together. we can joyfully endure all things, as Paul states in Philippians, through Christ who strengthens us. and the sweet part about it all is that we never walk alone.
