TIL there's something called "Bubble Butt Syndrome" that some unlucky sea turtles suffer from (thanks, humans) that keeps them from ever being released and is remedied with those weights you see attached to their backs to counterbalance the air trapped under the back of their shells. I visited some rescued and rehabbed sea turtles today with elisabethgarvin as we reflect on the first months of 776foundation and plan ahead to next year!
