The 64th Mr. Canisius was announced by Principal Tom Coppola ’01 at this morning’s Senior Awards Ceremony. The words of Mr. Canisius 2025 upon being nominated: As a fourth generation Canisius student, there was no debate about where I was going to go for high school. Looking back, I’m incredibly grateful that my Dad made the decision for me to send me to such a great school. At Canisius, I have grown in mind, body and spirit. Academically I have been given a stepping stone for future success. The care that teachers, staff members and coaches have for students here is unlike any other. They have pushed me to be vulnerable and are a key reason for my continued growth into a good man. It’s so easy to be vulnerable with a community such as this. Whether on the field, in the hallways or in the classroom, there was never a moment I felt unloved.
