Violent crime in Memphis is unacceptably high. I have said this many times before since my election in 2022. We did not get here overnight, and we won’t resolve it quickly either. However, the trend continues downward. No data, I have seen would justify naming Memphis as the “homicide capital,” but we also have a lot of work to do so we can all feel safer. #publicsafety #offendersaccountable #Memphis
