As we continue to celebrate Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we are thrilled to share that earlier this year, WSF Associate Director, Community Impact, Kendra Williams had the opportunity to travel to Tonga to support the Tonga Rugby Union in its efforts to expand women’s and girls’ rugby programs. This visit was made possible through the Cultural Vistas on behalf of the U.S. Department of State’s Young Pacific Leaders Program. While there, Kendra collaborated with local Unaloto Sili, Governance and Business Administrator for the Tonga Rugby Union, to strengthen community-based programs designed to increase access to rugby for girls and women. She also had the honor of meeting with several influential leaders, including representatives from the U.S. Embassy of Nuku’alofa, Deputy Chief of Mission Heather Coble, and the Prime Minister of Tonga, Hon. Dr. Aisake Eke. We are so proud of Kendra’s dedication to increasing opportunity for girls and women everywhere! #AsianAmer...
