Meet Chelsea Alatriste Martinez 👋 A proud first-generation college graduate from Newport, OR, Chelsea is earning her JD from the school of law. During law school, Chelsea was actively involved with the Latine Law Student Association, the National Lawyers Guild, and the Creating Connections Board, a student leadership group under the Center on Diversity and Community. Through these roles, she found a strong sense of purpose and community, attended several national conferences, and engaged her interest in movement lawyering. "I'd encourage incoming and current students to find joy in every part of the process," Chelsea said. "Law school is undoubtedly filled with stress and pressure, but it is a privilege to study the law so don't waste it by focusing only on the challenges." Chelsea received the Oregon Law Merit Scholarship. In her final year, she participated in the Oregon Law Portland Program, where she attended classes at the University of Oregon’s campus in northeast Portland. ...
