The ULI Net Zero Imperative is accelerating building decarbonization in cities worldwide. Our new report, "ULI Net Zero Imperative: Three Years of Accelerating Building Decarbonization", highlights the impact of technical assistance panels (TAPs) sponsored in select global cities—where buildings account for 40%–70% of urban carbon emissions. This growing network of ULI Councils, local governments, real estate leaders, and community partners is advancing decarbonization strategies across the built environment. Since launch, more than 15 TAPs and five implementation efforts have surfaced five key actions to drive progress: - Integrate renewable energy and electrification - Increase stakeholder engagement - Identify financial incentives - Promote education and awareness - Support policy and regulatory change NZI Cohort 5 applications open in May and close in July. Contact your local ULI Council to apply. 🔗 Learn more and read the full report at the link in our bio.
