I haven’t been able to dance comfortably in over 5 years since my leg injury. I’m not fully there yet but realizing just in this moment when I heard this song just how far I have come! After literally fighting to walk again, having a full reconstructive surgery on my left leg plus 10 other surgeries and 3 years of making new prosthetic legs trying to get it to fit comfortable again, I am so grateful to be able to do this! I’m not dancing like I did on dancingwiththestars and not able to do this for long but I am baby stepping my way back! I’ve said this so many times over the last few years but whatever you are going through keep going! Every baby step adds up and eventually you will realize just how far you have come!
