Residents across Tuscaloosa County are picking up the pieces after powerful weekend storms brought a wave of destruction.
The system ripped through the northern parts of the county with destructive winds, toppling trees onto homes and leaving many without power.
The damage has prompted a collaborative response between multiple county emergency management agencies, sending relief aid to Tuscaloosa. Tuscaloosa EMA Director Nick Lolley said response from surrounding counties was immediate. Hale County was among those that sent crews to help with recovery efforts.
