Did you know the main type of sea turtles that nest on Sea Island is the loggerhead sea turtle? It takes them 30-35 years to become adults and come back to nest on their natal beaches. Loggerheads have a two to three years nesting cycle so turtles that were nesting on Sea Island during the 2022 season are back for another great nesting season! #turtletuesday
