When I became the ithacacreativemedia team lead for ithacafieldhockey two years ago, I didn’t really know what I was getting into. I had never watched a game of field hockey in my life. These seven women immediately welcomed me with open arms and helped me to discover myself at Ithaca. Now, coming off a historic senior season & conference championship title, they are graduating.🥹 They are genuinely the most fierce, badass, strong and hard-working women. Watching them play so fearlessly and persistently week after week has encouraged my love and passion for women’s sports. Their energy on the field always made me go, “hell yeah.” They have helped me to look at sports media & content creation in a whole new light. A light where female athletes are not just recognized, but celebrated and celebrated LOUDLY. So much of the confidence I have today is credited to their support & unwavering appreciation.
