Did you know that on April 1, 1906, dinosaurs roamed Michigan Avenue? This clipping from the Chicago Tribune describes a "battle between the tyrannosaurus and the dinosaur diplodocus" which took place on our doorstep. Sightseers lined Michigan Ave, "filling every point of vantage on the Auditorium and the Annex, the Congress theater, and the Studebaker building." Today we celebrate the 119th anniversary of this remarkable event in Chicago history. #fineartsbuilding #fineartsbuildingchicago #chicagohistory #chicagotribune #newspaperclipping #dinosaurs #aprilfools #aprilfoolsday Happy April Fools Day to all!
