President #DonaldTrump on Tuesday announced plans to begin building a sophisticated new missile defense shield, estimating it would cost some $175 billion and that much of the system could become operational in three years. The project, which will be called the “Golden Dome,” echoes President #RonaldReagan’s failed “Star Wars” program, which was criticized for being overly ambitious and siphoning money away from other national priorities. We’ll have it done in about three years.
