Just got out of NOAA’s Hurricane Season 2025 Press Conference. This season is looking active yet again. Rightfully so, a lot of questions were asked about the readiness of our federal agencies after staffing and budget cuts. I have sizeabke concerns about long-term impacts to scientific research & tech investment. Additionally, disaster response will be impacted. We’re talking up to 19 named storms, 10 hurricanes, and 5 major hurricanes.
