Ramos is of Guamanian, Chinese, and Filipino descent and Sonny B. is Filipino, Black, Hawaiian, and Samoan. Their diverse heritages play a key part in their unique sound, which is inspired by early influences of R&B, hip hop, island reggae, and ukulele.
