Erwin Eden lived a tragic life confined for most of it to the Irkwell Estate grounds by his agoraphobia. Once a a promising young student of them arts he became increasingly reclusive as he aged. Archival evidence shows that each Eden book cover had a creative ritual whereby the paper marbling process was used by Erwin as an act of divination.
