Copperhead or not? A significant amount of time, the snakes I see identified as a “baby copperhead” are Dekay’s brown snakes, rat snakes, or water snakes. All of which are entirely harmless. While I understand being nervous around venomous snakes, putting yourself close enough to kill them is more likely to get you bit than calling a professional to relocate it, using a hose to spray water at it, or just waiting for it to leave. #snakes #reptiles #lizards #copperhead #cornsnake #ratsnake #wildlife
