Sakura in full bloom or not, you will love this hike. 📍 Mt Yoshino I travelled here from Kyoto and it was around 2hr30 by public transport. It’s closer to access from Osaka, approx. 1h15. Public transport cost me 1450 yen each way. NOTE: if you are visiting during cherry blossom season do prepare yourself for it to be super duper busy, I stood the whole way on the train and when I arrived there was lots of people. However, if you’re a clever hiker like me, you can avoid the crowds by heading off onto some of the trails on the east side of the mountain (west facing).
