As the weather turns, the snow falls, and my skis get their first wax of the season, I reflect on the highlights of my last winter season…and get excited about the season to come. For sure, the heli ski trip I did in February was the most legendary thing I’ve ever done. Feeling like a true adventurer, we get dropped off at the top of the mountain, and we pile out of the helicopter whilst it’s still running, and watch it fly away, crouching in the snow. Rocking some k2 116 underfoot skis (paddles, one could argue) I floated down some perfect, untouched powder a total of 5 times that day. Each time, the heli would pick us up and drop us off, and keep the propeller running. It felt pretty badass I’m not going to lie… It’s an experience I will never forget, and I feel SO blessed that I was able to experience this.
