Anyone else, like me, missing wild berry season? They were the perfect hiking snack and I love how effortlessly nature provides them for us ❤️ The season typically runs from mid August to end of September in Canada 🇨🇦 and the US 🇺🇸 Gross, but fun fact that I discovered whilst hiking this summer is that the berries are usually the tastiest near the outhouses 🚽 Why? Because a lot of the pump systems used disperses urine, which is sterile, into the surrounding soil. This stuff fertilises the ground well and, as a result, the berries are sweetest here!
