The California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) State Track and Field championships at Buchanan High School this weekend have sparked controversy as a transgender athlete is set to compete. Clovis Mayor Pro Tem Diane Pearce highlighted the issue on social media, stating, "A biological male will be competing against our girls and he is favored to win the state title in at least one event." It's also drawn the attention of President Donald Trump, who previously signed an executive order aimed at keeping men out of women's sports.
