3 lessons the podium taught me…
1) The podium only has room for one person.
Pay attention to the red flags and those around you. It’s a lot of hard work to get to that podium, and it’s your work. If people are trying to help you make sure they are helping and not using you to catapult themselves.
2) The podium only has 5 minutes for you.
All the work sacrifice, tears, sweat, and blood are part of the bigger picture. Appreciate that sacrifice and learn to appreciate the small successes of the day while embracing the struggles each day brings. If you can’t appreciate the grind if you ever step on that podium you will be severely disappointed.
3) The podium has a strict policy on who it allows on top of it. If you are the smartest, and hardest worker in niche you will get in. If not, go review, adapt and try again.
