It felt better to clear 6’3 for the first time than it did clearing 7’0 for the first time. It felt better clearing 7’1 than clearing 7’3. It felt better clearing 7’4 than clearing 7’5. It’s because the joy of the sport for me does not come from the overall heights that I clear or success that I achieve. It comes from the overall impact I get to have on those around me.
