She had a wide variety of opportunities and career options, but choosing the SOJC was a no-brainer for public relations major Sandra Jimenez ‘25, who’s carving out her path in sports communication from Allen Hall ⚾️⚽️ Passionate about both sports and sports communication, she’s inspired by others in the industry like Solé Ortiz-Ruiz, whom she discovered on TikTok posting her basketball game coverage from UC Santa Barbara. “I also loved following up on her journey when she got an internship with Adidas in Portland. Seeing Solé as a Mexican-American woman taking on a major role in sports journalism has given me so much inspiration to follow in her footsteps,” Jimenez told us.
