Maggie Troxell entered the SOJC as a journalism major but quickly realized she was meant for something different, thanks in part to our very own Associate Dean for Undergraduate Affairs and Professor @debkmorrison. Now, as a junior advertising major, she believes the SOJC offers a place of opportunity and belonging for women and that the female faculty at the SOJC are phenomenal. “[SOJC students] have the means to make whatever we dream up, and the faculty are right there to help make it happen,” said Troxell. “The faculty is so supportive and create those close relationships that I haven’t been able to find at the business school or CAS. It feels like a family, and our home, Allen Hall, is electric 24 hours a day.” The sports world is where Troxell feels most passionate, and as a student she’s already embedded herself in the industry.
